How to Track Advocacy Campaign Performance in HubSpot Using UTMs in Heyoo

Heyoo allows you to add UTM parameters to each advocacy campaign. These parameters help your CRM such as HubSpot identify which Heyoo-Campaign generated traffic, form submissions and deals. By setting up the tracking link directly in Heyoo, you ensure accurate attribution for all employee shared posts.
Where to Set Up UTM Tracking in Heyoo
When creating a new campaign, you will see the field Destination URL. Next to it, you will find the UTM Builder button. Opening the UTM Builder allows you to add or adjust the tracking parameters for your campaign. A live URL preview appears at the bottom of the panel so you can confirm your tracking link.

Step-by-step Setup
1. Open or create a campaign in Heyoo.
2. Enter the Destination URL
This is the page you want users to land on.
Example: https://yourwebsite.com/product-launch
3. Click the UTM Builder button.
4. Fill in the desired UTM fields
For example:
Source: heyoo
Medium: linkedin
Campaign: Q1_launch
Term: awesome_feature
Content: brand_link
Referral: yoursite.com
These values will be appended to the Destination URL as UTM parameters.
5. Review the URL preview.
6. Click Save.
Heyoo will now apply these parameters to all shortlinks generated for this campaign.
When employees share content from this campaign, their shared URLs will automatically contain your UTM tracking parameters.
How HubSpot Uses These UTMs
If your website includes the HubSpot tracking code, HubSpot will automatically capture the UTM parameters when a visitor arrives on your site. These values populate HubSpot analytics and contact properties, allowing you to attribute contacts, leads and deals to your Heyoo advocacy campaigns.

Using UTMs in Heyoo allows you to:

Important Notes
UTM tracking links cannot be changed on already active campaigns. If you need different parameters, create a new campaign with updated UTM settings. You can save a campaign as โdraftโ in Heyoo and test the tracking beforehand.
